I tried to go to the gym every day and work out for 2-3 hours (weight lifting, cardio and jumping rope). Peloton helped a lot with my “mom’s pouch” it was hard. It took me 2 years to get to where I am now. Most importantly my mental health improved by a landslide and that is the real reward. And throwing a 15 min ride before or after. I think the Jess King – Peloton 45 minute Sweat Steady rides are what changed it for me. Or 60 minute rides but there’s not too many. Two 30 minutes back to back but doing the lower numbers called to keep stamina. 5 days a week I did about a 60 minute ride. What worked for me is doing longer duration. It took 4 months to see one pound come off then the remaining 8 months 25 lbs. No specific food plan, no other workouts, just the bike. I’m focusing on this instead of my close-to-me naysayers.
